Father was a young man "Hank" whose father was commanding officer of the Air Base near the city where Bette was living. This is the Buffalo/Fredonia/Brockton NY area. She had moved to that area to live with her half brother and his family while she finished high school after her parents divorced. She graduated from high school in 1961 and was given a full scholarship to the cosmetology school.Attended the Cos.Schl and then graduated. Much of her story is unknown to me as she didn't confide in me. One bit of info. The baby was born either around her birthday, 31 of Mar or early April 1964.
The baby was a boy and was adopted by a young couple who were unable to have children. Iwonder if he resembles her. Blonde hair,blue eyeswitha twinkle in them.She was very intelligent, capable of just about anything she wanted to do. Played the clarinet in the school band. She was petite and very cute. |
