Parents: William Markle & May (Mary) Claire. Married 11/1916 in Honolulu, Hawaii. Adoption petition dated 4/22/1922 states that father is deceased and mother has remarried and is now May (Mary) Benton. Was always told that father died in WWI. Am looking into military records now. Military states that father didn't die until 1931. Believe that there were other siblings. Have sent away for marriage certificate of parents. Waiting for military records that may show dependents of William. Looking for siblings before it's too late. Have made contact with william's half siblings but William was much older so they haven't been much help.They do believe that William had a child named Edward Markle who lived in the San Francisco area in the last 15 yrs. So far no luck in tracking him. HELP!! |
