Other Information Miss Carrie Lucille Gilmer gave birth to a child out of wedlock at about 31 yrs of age 5'8, 130 lbs, never employed. Birth father Married man 40+ in sales, name now unknown. The child was born while in Florida, not far from her address on Washington Street., Eustice, Florida (Lake County) where she lived. (Gilmers Family ties are from Johnson City, Tenn., and/or Gilmer Park, Tenn.) Alfred W. Gillmer father had orange groves in Florida. He had brothers in Texas. Have realitives Car, Carr also. Birth sometime believed to be around October between 1950-56 1955? She was sent to unknown place, (She describes much like a home for mothers or hospital). Where she remembers staying until the child was taken from her a few days after birth and was adopted. Family members Mrs. Myrtle (McGee) Gilmer (mother/nurse), Betty Ann Everts (her sister) and/or Alfred W. Gilmer (her brother) had something to do with the child being given away. Betty Everts says she recalls flying to Florida and signing some sort of papers possibly with an attorney around that time. The family members recall the child was a boy. Years have passed and Carrie is asking to find her child for her. Carrie welcomes you with open arms. Your mother wants to find you desperately!!!! I have been searching with nothing to go on, no records or accurate dates. I know there must be away of finding you. PLEASE if anyone out here in cyberspace can help guide me in to how to locate records or find the home or place where Carrie Lucille might have been taken to have the baby around that time in Florida. Please HELP! Send Email to CarrieGilmer@aol.com
