I am seeking information on my mothers adoption. She was born May 31,1928 to a minor named also named Mary Sharp, who was from the Wisconsin area. I believe she was sent to the Escanaba area to live with relatives or a home for unwed mothers. Her guardian Ad Litem was a Margarite K. Schell, who worked for Michigan Childrens Home. Her adoption papers were never sealed and I know that the adoption took place October of 1928 at the Marquette County Court House, with a Judge W.T. Potter. My mother passed away in 1996 of a genetic disease and I am trying to find any medical history on her biological parents. If you can help, please e-mail me. |
