Clarissa was the d/o Solomon and Alice (Dike) Puffer of Muskegon MI. Solomon and Alice were divorced in 1903. Apparently Solomon deserted his family as his where abouts were not found after that.Alice died between 1903 and 1906. Death is suspicious in that she may have commited suicide. Clarissa was adopted by Thomas and Virginia Evans of Muskegon Twp Mi. She did give birth to a baby daughter she named Laura Puffer Evans in 1908. the infant died 3 months later and was buried in Muskegon County. after this event, the family disappears from Muskegon Co. |
