Birth mothers name was Venita Smith (?) She was to have met the baby's father at a boarding house in Waterloo, Iowa and he never came. He did pay for all the expenses of the birth. Mother was very young (thought to be 17) and was very well dressed. Said her plans were to go back to family in Dayton Ohio. Feel Smith could be an alias. Do not have much hope for birth mother to still be living, but is indeed she was only 17, Don could have siblings.
