My Amother told me my Bparents were not married to each other. However, the adoption papers show them to have been. The Amother also said that the paternal surname was RUSS, however again the papers show RUSK, in variance with her tale. Gina Whitehead Rusk is the Bmom's name per paperwork, his was James Henry Rusk, Jr., again per paperwork. It is my understanding that he was a flight surgeon in San Antonio at the time of my conception [mid 1952] and she was a nurse at Wilford Hall Hospital, also in San Antonio. He supposedly was married to another woman with children during this time. |
