| I was asked to sign legal papers at the Mesa Hospital in order to provide consent for the adoption of my baby girl. Probably the legal representative was an attorney representing the adopting couple who lived in Lubbock, Texas. Dr. Terry, gynecologist in Dallas Texas, had called Dr. Payne in Phoenix/Tempe, Arizona to request that he care for me and my child until she was born and the adoption procedure was complete. I have always been so sad that I was never even allowed to see the baby and only found out this week where the couple lived who adopted her. My dearest hope is that I might be able to relate important medical information to that precious 47-year-old life, and if she so wishes..to talk with her and even to meet if that is her desire. My surname was Phillips in 1959. I was not married. |
