| September 8, 1970 Orange Memorial Hospital,
Orlando Florida. I was told the baby was a girl weighing
over 8lbs, beautiful and in perfect health. They (adoptive
parents, Atty. Gordon Simonds and Dr. Cory) thought it best
that I not see my baby.
After a 35 hour plus labor and a breach delivery, they took
her and went to New Jersey. The adoptive parents were of
the Jewish Faith and medical professionals from New
Jersey. I was a young woman from a poor family in northern
Maine. The decision to secure a better life for my child was
my main priority .
If she is wondering , I have always loved her and have
been trying to locate her since she was 18 years of age. The
search ended with the State of New Jersey and its sealed
records and old school rules about our right to know who
we are.
