the baby girl was adopted by a family known to live in Sunflower County, Mississippi. The family had adopted another child, a son I was told. The parents were professionals, the father was a lawyer and said to have come from a family of lawyers. She had brown hair and brown eyes at birth. She was taken from me at birth, I do not have details concerning the actual adoption. I saw the baby girl only one time for only a few moments. The nurse was not suppose to let me see her at all, however the nurse made a mistake and brought her to me for only a few moments before the supervisor realized what she had done and had her remove the baby from my arms.
I was told that she weighed 6 lbs. I was staying with my sister and her husband during the later part of the pregnancy. My parents took me back to Portland, Ark. after the baby was born and would not let me contact anyone or try to find out anything about her. I do not want to upset her life, I would welcome a telephone call and if she is interested a reunion. I want to know that she is okay. |

I was married at age 19, the baby daughter has two half brothers, Robert Earle and Richard Alan Benson. Robbie is 29, blonde with hazel eyes,
married. Ricky is 27 brown hair brown eyes, married with first child due in August. It is a boy due the 18th. The baby's birthfather was also from Portland, Ark. His name
was Charlie Dumas, and he was 21 years old at the time of the birth. I believe he married and still lives in the Ashley County area. |
