Dorothy Rose Christiansen Vance went to the adoption agency on May 18, 1966 to make arrangements for my adoption. Her husband had deserted her and her two children and was living with her parents who were helping with the support of the two children and could not do anymore. Hwe mother was in poor health, so she was needed in the home and could not work regularly to support her children. She planned my birth to be at Riverside Hospital. She was 5'2, normally weighed 120 lbs. She dropped out of high school in the 9th grade. She had married her first husband in 1961 and he was deceased when interviewing with the adoption agency. They had a daughter together that was born in 1963. She then married Mr. Vance in 1964 and they had a son in 1965. |
