Other information.
Could have been August 25, 1965 I was actually in the DSS building in Hickory(now Family Guidance Center) when my adoptive parents came to see a newborn boy --- I was a friendly baby who had been with a foster family likely in Catawba County for a few months. The parents chose to adopt me. I was about 6 months old when they got me. I was referred to as "Baby Lisa" in the foster home - I have no idea why. I also had a dislocated hip likely happened during birth but went undiagnosed. My birthfather was older than my birthmother and talked with DSS more about my placement for adoption. I am assuming all of this took place in NC and the date of my birth on the birth certificate is 9/25/1965. However my birthdate is listed as August 25, 1965 on my information I received from DSS. Raleigh assured my parents it was September but who knows. Birthmother around 14 when I was born. Feb 1951 Birthfather was around 22.

Other Info I have no idea what my birthname was but I think I was born in NC in September 1965 - possibly the 25th to a young teen mother and a father in his early twenties. The father was helpful to DSS and was "very concerned for the welfare of his child".

Other Information Student You had brothers and sisters and you were only 14 or 15 years old when I was born in later 1965. Birthmother's father had worked in a bakery and changed jobs frequently. Textile work? I think she was about 5'1 or so at the time. Brown hair and eyes You didn't have much to say to DSS at the time.

Other Information You may have been very helpful to DSS who handled my adoption.Dark hair, hazel eyes likely born between 1942 and 1944 They described you as the oldest of your siblings and said you were "very intelligent". I wish I knew more but you may have been working as a plumber in 1965.
