I received papers from the state of Florida after writing for any info they could give me. They stated that she was born in England and she lived most of her life in an orphanage. She met a man from the states and they were married. They then moved back to the US and lived in a "deep southern state". They had a child who was about the age of 7 when I was born. Her and her husband divorced. It states that while my mother was in the hospital her husband gained custody of their daughter. It also states that she had another daughter that was around the age of 17 months at the time of my birth ( this child lived with her). Also stated that she had 1 or 2 miscarriages and possibly 1 stillborn before I was ever born. The papers stated that she never knew her birth father. That she was very friendly but did not trust people easily. She was described as 5 feet 2or 3, small frame, auburn hair, and hazel eyes. |

The papers stated that my father was the first generation of his family born in the United States. His mother and father were both in the medical field. I think his father was a doctor. Papers stated that they were very educated people and that they lived in Washington DC. It stated that my mother and father's romance did not last very long and that she never told him that she was pregnant. She told that he was a Junior Grade Helicopter Pilot in the Navy. But the papers stated that no one fitting that description could be found in the Navy. |
