| My adoption took placed through the Catholic Home Bureau for Dependent Children in New York City. They are now called the Catholic Home Bureau and their new address is 1011 First Avenue, New York, New York. My adoption was handled by the attorneys, Gallagher & Durr, Seventy Pine Street, New York City. I do not have my original birth certificate. I have registered with the State Of New York Adoption Information Registry. I know nothing about my birth father. I have contacted Catholic Home Bureau for any non-identifying and medical information they could share without my birth mother's permission. Unfortunately, they responed that their was an arson fire at their storage facility where my records were stored and no longer have my case record. I don't know what to do next! I am wanting any information I can find about my birth mother and birth father. |
