Other Information May have been a teacher. She gave birth to me in her sister's apartment. Her sister evidently did not know about the pregnancy until after I was born and the sister heard me crying; she came into the room and saw Arvilla with me. Arvilla never told my birthfather about me until after I was born. I am told she called him after I was born & that he came to the apartment to see me. I was in the hospital for four months and was then placed at the Washington Home for Foundlings until adopted at age 11 months.

Other Information My birthfather wanted to adopt me, but could not find a way, as the birthmother would not marry him (she had found someone else). My birthfather and his father were said to have come to the foundling home to see me frequently. I am told my birthfather carried around a picture of me for a long time. My birthfather later married someone else and had three daughters. I found out that he died in July 2002 but I now have contact with his daughters.
