Birth father, Vincent Cavalieri, may have been paid for my son. I did not know I was signing adoption papers at the time. Father knows where his son is, I believe. Birth Father owns a restaurant in Brooklyn, Pizza Shop called the Pit Stop. Has a wife named Veronica, a sister named Maria, two brothers named Salvatore and Vito and a father named Joseph. My son, when he was born, was dark, had dark eyes and was taken by an older woman (maybe 40's at that time in 1964) who the birth father said was his aunt. I believe that he ws paid for the child and all expenses and this was the adoptive mother. She would be in her 70's now. If this is not the case and I am wrong then I think that the birth father and his wife, who could have no children, may still have my son with them. He would be in his late 20's now and probably called Vinny or Vito. They lived then at 454 Henry St, Brooklyn, NY. |

I was 19 at the time of my son's birth. Birth father was married and came to hospital to escort me home (he said) Told me to hand thebaby to his "aunt" while he helped me and she left the hospital with my son. Later he told me that his aunt was going to watch my son until we could get together. When I signed papers I thought it was for his aunt to help us. The irony is that the judge at the adoption was my uncle by marriage and would not tell me, up to the day of his death, who had my child. Told me I was better off NOT knowing! |
