I checked the NYC birth index and it said that my mother's name given at my birth was Hooks, I think it also stated that my father's name (as given) was John and last name was W-e-l-l-e (the column for last name was only 5 characters wide. I don't know if these names are accurate. I don't know if I have any siblings. I don't want to disrupt any lives. I just want to find some closure in mine and ask a few questions. I don't care why I was given up. I know it's an old wound for my birth mother but I really need to know more about my heritage, nationality, medical issues, etc. I am tan and look Italian/Hispanic. If any member of my birthfamily is reading this just know that I don't want anything other than some answers and maybe if possible, a picture of my birthmom/dad. Sure I would probably want to meet her/him but I'd be very grateful to just talk over the phone. |
