I am searching for my mothers birth-name. She died never knowing who her birth parents were. My mother was adopted by Adela nee,FORD Woodfin, when she was seven 7months old in Dallas,TX., born july 12,1916. My mothers name was Marian Woodfin, and there were times she used her mothers maiden name, Ford. Mother only saw the adoption papers with a quick view before the papers were taken away. This was how she found out she was adopted.The adopted parents would never tell more, but mother remembered the surname of SPELTS/SPELCH. I have been searching for many years for my mothers true heritage. My mother died in 1959. This is why I got into genealogy. I would appreicate your help, or advice.
