Born STEPHANIE MARIE. May 16, 1972 at St. Josephs Hospital in CHATHAM, ONTARIO, CANADA. Birth Mother was 15, single, and of Belgian descent. Birth father was a few yrs older, French/Canadian descent. I was a little over 4lbs at birth, and the adoption was not legalized until I was almost a year old. Adoptive parents named me SONJA LEE VERKAIK. My birth mother was small, approx.53, long brown hair, blue eyes, freckles, and nice teeth/smile. She spent time in a reform school prior to my birth, and at the time of my adoption was planning to move to a different city to take a secretarial course.
