FOUND BIRTHMOTHER!!! REUNITED by phone 10/7/02; F2F 1/17/03. My bm was 17 yo when she had me in 1956. Her name was 'Joyce' Fee. She became pg again & gave birth to my half sister in 1957 at age 18. All adoption records were destroyed by an evil stepmother many years ago, including a letter which may have indicated Joyce was seriously ill or had died from the adoption agency. (The latter part of this was a story...there never was a letter. There was not an agency involved, only an attorney. It was an effort to thowart efforts of locating her.) My bMom told me that my maternal grandma knew about her pregnancy with me & was the one who named me at birth.
Also my sister has a different bFather who our bMom actually married after my sister was given up for adoption, so she knows all about him. We also have a half brother, John. He is 8 1/2 yrs younger than me. |

The only reason I know anything now is because my bMom told me. I was the result of a date rape in KY. She knew him from a Salvation Army church in KY where she was from. He knows nothing of her conception of me as she moved away to Ohio not long after becoming pregnant. I do not care to know anything about him. I wish I could be a fly on the wall only to know my medical history from his side as there have been serious medical conditions which are not inherent from my bMom's side. |
