My birth mother married after I was born to a man that was not my father. She became pregnant and had another child in May of 1958. After I was born, my birthmother placed me in the home of her mother who had recently married a younger man and it was her intention to raise me. Several months went by and my birthmother realized that her mother (my grandmother) still had a drinking problem and did not want me to be raised in that environment. She then placed me with the Los Angeles County Adoption approx. Sept. 1957. My mother was Polish and my father was Irish/German. They both were originally from Pennsylvania. |

My birth father may not know that I exist. He was involved in a love triangle between my mother and another man whom my mother was planning on marrying. Her new husband did not like my father and did not feel he could raise me. After my mother became pregnant, she immediately left Pennsylvania and went to CA to be with her mother. The were going to tell all of the relatives at home that I was my grandmother's natural child. |
