At the time of Melissa's adoption, she was in the Foster Care of Mike and Karen Snelling who resided in the city of Homewood, Alabama.
Melissa was born by C- Section and was a few weeks premature.
She was born on Saturday,at 7:10 am on September 17th, 1983.(Happy 18th Birthday My Sweet Angel)
Melissa Weighed 5 lbs 10 oz and was 171/4 inches long and was so beautiful, with black hair and brown eyes.
My mother was there with me when she was born and said that she looked just like me when I was born.
If you ever see this my precious baby girl; please know that you were and still are so very loved and also know that I did not give you away and that I fought to keep you and have been trying to find you for so long!
Thanks to a very sweet and loving foster mother named Karen Snelling, I got to hear you speaking your ABC's on a tape that your adoptive mother sent to Karen.
I called Karen many times crying and she was so sweet and comforting to me and always let me know that you were okey and well taken care of.
She was the only link I had left to you and I stayed in touch with her until she moved and we lost touch.
She loved you very much also.
I hope someday that you will find this and know that your two sisters love and miss you very much too!
